The first consultation: The first consultation I take a thorough initial client history, along with building the foundation for the Client/Therapist relationship and ego-strengthening for the client. Art therapy is used to work out what is happening for the client on a deeper level, followed by a client-centered Hypnotic induction to begin the therapeutic journey.
I use modalities such as gestalt therapy, past-life and childhood regression, metaphors and dream-work to work on client issues. All doors are closed under Hypnosis so the client is grounded and safe when leaving their session.
Children's hypnotherapy is a much more gentle approach that holds children in a safe protective space for positive healing and no re-traumatising. Lots of child friendly metaphors are used under Hypnosis to gain awareness, understanding, self empowerment, self-love, inner peace and healing. Issues that are creating emotional blockages are gently washed away and self-love is replaced. A range of modalities are used in working with children and teens such as Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Play, Bear Cards for working with emotions and Hypnosis. Young children can find it difficult to relax into a Hypnotic state in therapy, so a personalised Hypnotherapy bedtime recording is emailed to you for nightly listening. Children respond very well to their bedtime story and often look forward to listening to it. It can take up to 30 days to change behaviors and habits so every day for 30 days is recommended.
Most often when presenting your child for Hypnotherapy, it may be a good idea for all family members or your child and both parents to also have some Hypnotherapy sessions. Children are a barometer of the family system, they are sensitive and pick up on what is happening for their primary caregiver a.k.a the parent/s. Gaining some awareness and healing of maladaptive thought processes and behaviors within the family constellation can facilitate in positive change for future generations and break the chain from negative patterns of your past ancestors.
